American media reported today that a fire occurred at a chemical plant in Missouri, USA, which resulted in explosions.
Fox 2 reported that the fire broke out at the Manor Chemical plant near the city of Afton in St. Louis County.
The local authorities confirmed that the fire had been brought under control, which resulted in the injury of one of the firefighters.
The authorities evacuated residents living in the vicinity of the site within a radius of half a mile, and residents from miles away from the scene saw plumes of smoke above the factory building and heard explosions.
