The Central District Prosecution Unit today (Monday) filed an indictment against a 32-year-old man, for injuring police officers and a civilian, while escaping from police while driving on Route 6. He is charged with the offenses of grievous bodily harm, driving a fake vehicle without a driver's license and illegal stay in the country.

He is accused of injuring a policewoman moderately, and another police officer and civilian lightly.

According to the indictment, on April 14, a vehicle was entered through the Rantis checkpoint into the country, carrying license plates that do not belong to the vehicle, and continued toward the center.

In Tel Aviv, a police car spotted the suspect's vehicle and told him to stop, but the suspect did not respond to the call and continued his journey, while evading a block that was made and hitting one of the policemen who was lightly injured.

In response, police fired at the bottom of the vehicle, but the suspect continued to flee.

Later, the vehicle was found traveling south on Route 6 and a chase began.

The indictment further states that at a certain point the road was blocked in order to make the suspect stop.

The suspect who arrived quickly tried to get around the blockage through the right-hand sidewalk, so he collided with vehicles quickly, causing injuries to the policewoman and the citizen.

At this point, the fleeing vehicle was stopped and the suspect was arrested by the police.
