Munich - The corona virus still has everyday life fully under control.

Normal shopping tours are not yet possible in Germany and thus also in southern Germany.

Because the seven-day incidence * in Bavaria on Thursday (April 29) is 161 according to the Robert Koch Institute. This is the second highest value in a comparison of the federal states, only in Baden-Württemberg this value is currently higher.

An incidence of 161 also means: It is above the decisive value of 100, which is currently used by politicians as a benchmark for easing.

From there, the nationwide emergency brake also applies.

This week the Bavarian state government adjusted its crisis management again.

In some places it was tightened, in others it was relaxed.

You can find a general overview here.

These rules have been in effect since Wednesday (April 28).

Markus Söder on the Bavarian corona strategy: "Mix of caution and perspective"

"Bavaria relies on a mix of caution and perspective," wrote Prime Minister Markus Söder * (CSU) on Twitter.

“There is no reason to let up on our course now.” At a press conference, he announced that the new package of measures applies “for the duration of the Infection Protection Ordinance”.

This is currently valid in Bavaria until May 9th.

Corona in Bavaria: Garden markets, flower shops and bookstores are allowed to open regardless of the incidence

An important point in the current rules: garden centers, flower shops and bookstores may open regardless of the incidence under the general rules applicable to shops.

"Incidence-independent" means: above and below a seven-day incidence of 100. However, a mask requirement and distance rules, i.e. hygiene concepts, are still necessary.

Taking these measures into account, flowers and garden equipment can again be bought in Bavaria and exciting books can be obtained.

Bavaria is thus implementing an exception regulation that is included in the new nationwide emergency braking regulation for corona hotspots.

Corona rules in Bavaria: Partial easing, curfew and distance teaching but still knitting

Further rules apply, for example, to tradesmen's shops, which are also allowed to open regardless of the incidence.

Zoos and botanical gardens can also receive visitors again under the open sky and under certain conditions.

However, Bavaria remains strict with the night curfew.

"We didn't choose the Hamburg model, where you can go for a walk or do sports between 10pm and midnight," said Söder.

Distance teaching will also continue to be specified from an incidence of 100.
