On the night of August 26 to 27, 2017, Maëlys de Araujo, an 8-year-old girl vanishes during a wedding party in Pont-de-Beauvoisin (Nord Isère).
This disappearance quickly made the headlines.
The 200 guests are heard by the gendarmes and among them, a man who behaved suspiciously during the evening arouses suspicion.
This is Nordahl Lelandais, 34, a former dog handler in the army.
Traces of blood belonging to Maëlys were finally found in the trunk of his car.
On February 14, 2018, during a hearing before the judge, he admits to having killed the girl by accident, then thrown her body in a ravine of the Chartreuse massif.
At the end of March 2018, it was in the context of another case that Nordahl Lelandais was heard, that of the disappearance of Corporal Arthur Noyer, in April 2017. He admits to being at the origin of the death of the young 23-year-old soldier. , but the circumstances of the crime remain unclear.
