46% is the number of students who have a job at the same time as their studies, according to an Ipsos survey.
If for some it is not vital, for the majority of them this "little job" is essential and the health crisis has highlighted its necessity.
With the confinements, many people claim to encounter financial difficulties, especially in Ile-de-France, where the cost of living is on average 13 times higher than in the provinces according to INSEE.
Prepare for job interviews in advance
Thus, the 28th edition of “Cet été je taffe” initiated by the Center d'Information et de Documentation Jeunesse (CIDJ) seems to be timely to boost the finances of young Parisians. Webinars, workshops, live on social networks, meetings with professionals… CIDJ has already made many tools available to students to help them find their first jobs. “Our goal is to guide young people in their preparation so that they can be effective in the interview,” explains Isabelle Guérif from CIDJ.
This initiative ends this Thursday with the organization of a virtual 3-day job dating fair.
Young people will be confronted with employers who are recruiting for thousands of positions in Ile-de-France.
Events, entertainment, insurance, childcare or even security, many sectors will be represented to satisfy everyone's tastes.
So to your CVs!
