The World Health Organization (WHO) is the highest authority in the field of health.
When it grants emergency authorizations for vaccines, the repercussions are considerable.
On the one hand, a vaccine that has received WHO approval is considered reliable.
On the other hand, it is used within the framework of the Covax program, through which the WHO intends to supply poor countries with vaccines.

To date, the WHO has only granted emergency authorizations for three vaccines: BioNTech / Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca.
Now, however, she could add Chinese vaccines to the list.
At the end of the week, the WHO plans to announce whether it will grant emergency clearance for China's Sinopharm vaccine.
Next week, she will then vote on the fate of China's Sinovac vaccine.
