Bundeswehr helicopters are currently flying over and over the Fürstenfeldbruck district.
There is a reason for that.
Fürstenfeldbruck - Soldiers are currently practicing helicopter mountain missions.
The helicopters actually stationed in Niederstetten (Baden-Württemberg) were therefore relocated to Lechfeld and Kaufbeuren for the time of the exercises in order to save approach time.
From Kaufbeuren and Lechfeld, the helicopters fly south into the mountains.

There are two types of helicopters, in simple terms a light and a heavier transport helicopter.
On the way to the mountains or back from there, depending on the flight route, they repeatedly roam the western district of Fürstenfeldbruck.
The exercises last about three weeks.
After that, the helicopters are to be relocated to Niederstetten again.
