An overview of the newly adopted corona rules for Bavaria.

Munich - Bavaria is again choosing a special path with its Corona * policy.

At a press conference, Prime Minister Markus Söder, Health Minister Klaus Holetschek and Economics Minister announced some changes.

Söder described the new way as "adaptation".

The new rules should apply from Wednesday (April 28).

The corona rules for the Free State at a glance:

  • Shops of non-body service companies and craft businesses may open regardless of the incidence under the general conditions applicable to shops.

  • Garden markets, flower shops and bookstores may open in the same way regardless of the incidence under the general conditions applicable to shops.

  • Drive-in cinemas are approved regardless of the incidence.

A sufficient infection protection concept by the operator is a prerequisite.

Outside of motor vehicles, visitors must wear an FFP2 mask on the site.

  • The outdoor areas of zoological and botanical gardens may also open above a seven-day incidence of 100 under the following conditions: Protection and hygiene concepts, no more than 24-hour test for all visitors aged 6 and over, FFP2 mask requirement, contact details.

  • Above a seven-day incidence of 100, children under the age of 14 are permitted to practice non-contact outdoor sports in groups of no more than five children.

  • The supervision of children under the age of 14 in permanent, family or neighborhood-organized care communities is still permitted.

As usual, however, the Corona * rules remain in Bavarian schools.

The strict Corona limit of 100 for distance teaching in schools will be retained.

It also remains that jogging and walking in Corona hotspots are prohibited from 10 p.m.

Corona in Bavaria: Special rules also apply to people who have been vaccinated twice

From Wednesday, special rules also apply to “completely vaccinated people”, according to the Bavarian State Chancellery.

People who have received two corona vaccinations * are therefore treated the same as people who tested negative.

Anyone who has been vaccinated twice and “has almost zero risk must be restored to their central basic rights,” said Prime Minister Markus Söder at the press conference.

The fundamental rights should be returned as soon as possible.
