A marathon of consultations on both sides ahead of the expiration of the mandate: Right-wing chairman MK Naftali Bennett is scheduled for this time (Monday) in the Knesset with Prime Minister MK Mansour Abbas. This is the second meeting of the two within a week, past.

Earlier, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he had offered Bennett a first term in rotation for a year "to prevent the formation of a left-wing government."

Bennett reacted coldly to the proposal, claiming that Netanyahu did not have a government at all that he could form, and that he never asked for the prime minister, but asked for a "government."

At the same time, Prime Minister Netanyahu concluded a consultation with Shas Chairman MK Aryeh Deri and Knesset Speaker MK Yariv Levin.

Netanyahu's mandate will expire tomorrow at midnight, so President Reuven (Ruby) Rivlin will decide whether to return the mandate to the Knesset, or transfer the mandate to one of the two - Bennett or chairman Yesh Atid MK Yair Lapid.

MK Lapid stated earlier that he does not intend to relinquish the mandate to Bennett.
