Mallorca is always one of the most popular travel destinations for Germans.
We summarize for you the conditions under which vacation on the island is currently possible.
After the travel warning for the Balearic Islands fell on March 14th, German vacationers came back to the island in droves *.
And despite the tourists, the corona incidence has not increased since then - it is currently 35 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days (as of May 3).
We will show you here which rules apply to entry and stay on the island.
Holidays in Mallorca 2021: These rules apply to entry
For entry to Mallorca, the same rules apply as for entering Spain apply in principle: Tourists from the age of six years who come from one of the countries at risk - which also belongs to Germany - have a
PCR or a so-called TMA test
submit .
The test must not be more than 72 hours old at the time of entry.
The result must be available electronically or on paper in Spanish, English, French or German.
Mandatory information on it is the name of the traveler, passport or identity card number, date of sampling, contact details of the laboratory, applied test procedure and the negative test result, as the Foreign Office informs.
Air travelers must also complete a
health form
on the Spain Travel Health portal

A QR code is generated from this, which must be shown upon entry.
The form can also be filled out using the SpTH app.
Registration can be made 48 hours before entry at the earliest.
The airlines must check the negative corona test and the completed entry form before departure.
In addition, there are regular health checks upon entry.
Mallorca: easing the entry with vaccination?
There are currently
no benefits for vaccinated people when
traveling to Mallorca
.
However, the Balearic Government is planning a pilot project for May that will enable "free travel".
One wants to coordinate with the EU and the planned vaccination certificate.
What holidaymakers should look out for when returning from Mallorca
After the big wave of
trips
to Mallorca in March, the federal government set the
general test requirement for air travelers
to Germany.
Since then, a negative corona test has to be presented before departure - otherwise the airlines are not allowed to take those affected with them.
It makes no difference whether the travelers want to fly to Germany from a risk area.
Since Mallorca is not a risk area, there is no test obligation immediately after arrival in Germany.
In addition, those returning from the Balearic Islands do not have to register or go into quarantine.
However, it should be noted that the emergency brake applies in counties with a corona incidence of over 100.
This means:
There is a curfew from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Mallorca Holidays 2021: These restrictions apply on the island
In Spain, including Mallorca, there is a general mask requirement * for people aged six and over.
It should be worn at all times in public spaces or outdoors as well as in publicly used closed spaces.
When doing sports, swimming or sunbathing on the beach, the

The
curfew on Mallorca has been
shortened by one hour
since April 24
- it now applies from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The restaurateurs can now entertain their guests in the outdoor area from Monday to Thursday from 8 p.m. to 10.30 p.m.
All tables on the terrace can be occupied.
So far this was only possible until 5 p.m.
This means that the restaurants are allowed to reopen in the evening after an interruption.
On Fridays and at the weekend, however, it must finally be over at 5 p.m.
The latest rules also include that shops can stay open until 9 p.m. instead of 8 p.m.
Six people are allowed to meet outdoors.
Unlike indoors, people can now come from more than two households.
