But that is around 6000 kilometers southeast of the Bavarian capital - namely in the Gulf metropolis of Dubai.

From October 7th there will be swaying, cheering and celebrations.

Oktoberfest in Dubai: Festival of superlatives planned

As part of the first World Expo in the Arab region, the Oktoberfest will also take place in the United Arab Emirates from October 2021 to March 2022. There will probably be around 620 businesses in an area of ​​around 400,000 square meters. There should be 32 beer tents, writes the

. Breweries and hosts from Bavaria are said to have already agreed. The right mood also seems to have been taken care of. Bavarian Schlager music and party hits from Ballermann should heat up the guests. Among other things, Malle star Ikke Hüftgold is said to have made appearances at the Wüsten-Wiesn. And the crowd was also thought of. Stars like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ralf Möller and Lothar Matthäus should bring the necessary glamor factor with them.

A website for the event is already talking about the "largest folk festival in the world".

In order to keep this promise, Dubai should have the longest beer bar, the largest maypole and the largest beer glass in the world.

A copy of the Bavaria is also planned.

The organizers expect that all the attractions will attract around four million guests to the golf every month.

Corona situation in Dubai would allow an Oktoberfest

It is not yet certain whether the desert Oktoberfest will actually take place.

The plans have not yet been officially confirmed.

But unlike in Germany, Corona * shouldn't put the organizers in Dubai in the dark.
