In the video: Documentation of a brawl between yeshiva students from two factions at the Ponivez Yeshiva in Bnei Brak (documentation on social networks according to section 27A of the Copyright Law)
A new document from the violent brawl that broke out last week at the Ponivez yeshiva in Bnei Brak was published today (Tuesday), in which dozens of yeshiva members from the "terrorists" faction are seen using severe violence against the rival "haters" faction.
Among other things, the young yeshiva members are seen beating them with fists, kicks, as well as throwing furniture and white goblets.
The video was published as part of a request submitted today to the Tel Aviv District Court, in which the heads of the "haters" faction ask to be allowed to return to their seats in the yeshiva, in accordance with the status quo between the parties in the yeshiva area.
The conflict between the parties has been going on for more than two decades between two groups representing the currents within the Lithuanian-Haredi sector - the "terrorists", who are identified with the extremist Jerusalem faction and the "haters", who are identified with the mainstream Lithuanian public.

For years, the status quo was maintained between the groups, and they managed to maintain the division of seats in the beit midrash and the dining room.
In the past year, following the spread of the corona virus, the group of "haters" who followed the guidelines of the Ministry of Health were absent from the yeshiva, thus creating a situation in which the "terrorists" occupied their territory in the yeshiva.
Almost a month ago, when schooling was resumed without special restrictions, the "haters" sought to return to their seats in the yeshiva, but were stopped by the "terrorists."
The latter used severe violence that was also directed against the rabbis of the rival group, and in one case even one of them was injured, and was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

Despite the violence, the police, who had pledged to maintain the status quo at the beginning of the Corona period with the end of the virus restrictions, had so far refused to intervene, allowing the violent battle to continue between the parties.
Now, the story will go to the court for decision, but it is doubtful whether even after its decision, the "terrorists" faction will respect it.
