The situation is similar at the Erding outdoor pool. “Basically, it is a legal issue. If the government decides to let the outdoor pools open, so can we. We have already prepared our bathroom in this way - with work such as touching up tiles or cleaning, ”explains Christopher Ruthner, Managing Director of Stadtwerke. At the moment, however, it doesn't look like that is the case. "We are very dependent on the decisions of the federal and state governments," he says.
In Erding, Taufkirchen and Dorfen, the hygiene concepts from the first pandemic summer 2020 apply. However, they must be adapted to the legal requirements or the Infection Protection Act.
“New regulations will emerge when it is clear when such places of assembly, such as an outdoor swimming pool, can reopen,” says Ruthner.
The most important measures are visitor limits depending on the (water) area.
There is also a mask requirement.
According to Ruthner, the legislator will determine whether contact details have to be recorded again or whether this is not necessary this time.
"The corridors of 2020 will no longer exist, reduced prices apply," advertises Gudrun Gersbach, press spokeswoman for the city of Dorfen.
In addition, the city council decided to offer season tickets.
“The price then depends on the time when it can be reopened.
However, there is no guarantee that you will be able to enter the swimming pool with the season ticket, ”she explains.
When the outdoor swimming pool in Dorfen is full, nobody can be let in - “regardless of whether or not a season ticket is available”.
According to the requirements of the previous year, 350 visitors are allowed to stay in the bathroom at the same time in Dorfen.
“We firmly believe that it will be similar to last year,” emphasizes Bauer.
"With warmer weather, more people outside and falling incidences, the population's demand for outdoor swimming pools will increase, and the federal and state governments will find appropriate regulations," he is convinced.
Gersbach, however, has a different opinion.
Whether there is a perspective for the openings is difficult to assess.
“We are currently preparing everything so that we can also open.
But since nothing is available at the moment, we cannot say anything about it. "
As every year, repairs were carried out at Waldbad Taufkirchen during the winter break.
"In addition, cleaning is carried out and further preparations are made - the normal standard program," says Bauer.
In the Dorfen open-air pool, the pools must be checked and watered. "Thanks to the heating network that we use, a water temperature of 25 degrees can be reached when it is opened," explains Gersbach. "The water is currently being let in and runs through the filter systems into the pool circuit."
“The various surfaces have to be cleaned and disinfected more regularly than was the case before the pandemic,” says Ruthner.
Above all, the basins are currently being cleaned because they have been soiled over the winter and by leaves.
"Otherwise the technology has to be serviced and checked and a water sample has to be taken as soon as the basins are filled up." However, heating only begins when it is clear when it is allowed to open.
“Heating the bathrooms at the moment would be a waste of energy,” says Ruthner.
