On Tuesday, the EPCR reduced its list of nominees for the title of European Player of the Year, to five players.
All from the two finalists, Stade Toulousain and Stade Rochelais, who will face each other in the final on May 22 at Twickenham.
These five players are Antoine Dupont, Jerome Kaino and Julien Marchand on the Toulouse side, Grégory Alldritt and Will Skelton on the La Rochelle side.
The winner, elected by the vote of Internet users, will be revealed at the end of the Champions Cup final.
As a reminder, since the introduction of this award in 2010, a French player has never received it, even if four foreigners playing for a Top 14 club have been crowned: 2018 Leone Nakarawa (Racing 92);
2015 Nick Abendanon (Clermont);
2014 Steffon Armitage (RC Toulon);
2013 Jonny Wilkinson (RC Toulon).
