Dozens of people gather tonight (Tuesday) in Jaffa to show solidarity with Rauda Aiyash Abu Hatter, a 52-year-old city resident who authorities are expected to evacuate from Amidar's apartment where she lives with her family, and set up a price per occupant project on the land sold.

This, against the background of tensions in the city around similar issues in recent weeks.

Advocate Maria Kabov, representing the family, addressed the protesters, accusing them of evicting her from the property "without any monetary compensation, as if throwing an entire family into the street without batting an eyelid." She said the Supreme Court denied their request to prevent the eviction. Abu Hatter will be evacuated and distributed for five thousand shekels every month.

"We are all entitled to a dignified roof."

"Just take out a family of seven people, after 14 years of living here, after signing a contract every year when she does not understand literacy in Hebrew. She would go every year to sign a contract when there were clauses that agreed to refer her without any claim," she protested. Adv. Kabov. "Three very large companies won the tender - they undertook to evacuate all the tenants.

For them, they saw a potential profit of more than 1,600 housing units.

This is an injustice done to the Abu Hatter family.

It is an injustice that I see being done to many families in Jaffa.

Amidar told us: vacate the house, we will give you something else - I want to tell you that it does not work that way.

We are all entitled to a dignified roof.

"No one came and said that one fine day an entrepreneur would come and take me to the street and that I would have nothing to do with it."

"I came here because I am ashamed of my country throwing people like this woman into the street," she told Walla!

Yaara Goldman, resident of Jaffa.

"I really hope it helps. I know of no other way but a demonstration."

Regarding the call "In blood and fire we redeemed Jaffa", which some of the demonstrators read in Arabic, she replied: "This is a text I am less connected to, but you know: even with my wife I do not like everything she does. I understand them - if they would throw me out of the house Mine, I would also redeem it in blood. "
