The Federal Cabinet has passed the ordinance on the rights of those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered in the pandemic.
Justice Minister Christine Lambrecht (SPD) announced in Berlin.
The nationwide ordinance from the justice department now has to be passed in the Bundestag and on Friday in the Bundesrat.
Lambrecht assumes that the regulation will apply at the weekend.
On the one hand, the paper that is available to SPIEGEL provides for legal equality between those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered with people who have tested negative.
Vaccinated and convalescent people should be allowed to go to shops, zoos or the hairdresser without a prior test.
In addition, the contact restrictions are to be relaxed and exit restrictions lifted for them.
The obligation to wear a mask in certain places as well as the distance requirement in public spaces should continue to apply to everyone.
Lambrecht spoke of the fact that people in the corona pandemic were affected by "far-reaching restrictions on fundamental rights".
If the reason for the restrictions no longer applies - the protection against infection - then these restrictions may no longer apply.
She is pleased that the cabinet is giving recovered and fully vaccinated people more freedom.
"Constitutional principles must apply especially in times of crisis and pandemic."
