The historic drug dealer, founder of the Sinaloa cartel, was released from prison in Mexico after being acquitted of the crime of organized crime, but was arrested on his way out and transferred to Mexico City to answer for another pending case.

The drug trafficker Héctor Luis Palma Salazar, alias

El Güer

or Palma, left the Mexican prison in the municipality of Almoloya de Juárez early this Tuesday after being acquitted on Saturday by a district judge of the crime of organized crime.

As soon as he left, he was arrested again to answer for another cause and was transferred to Mexico City.

The capo, former leader of the Sinaloa Cartel together with Joaquín

El Chapo

Guzmán, left the prison in the middle of a strong security device

in which elements of the National Guard, the Attorney General's Office (FGR) and SEIDO intervened.

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador on Monday questioned the decision of the federal judge who suddenly acquitted the drug trafficker on Saturday.

"A procedure that is not the most appropriate, you cannot issue an order to release an inmate accused of organized crime a Saturday morning, that is colloquially known as 'sabadazo' ", declared the president in his morning press conference from Quintana Roo.

The president referred to the ruling of the Second District Court of Federal Criminal Proceedings in Jalisco, a state in western Mexico, which acquitted the head of the accusation against him for the crime of organized crime in the middle of the Labor Day holiday.

The man, who was first imprisoned in Mexico in 1995, then in the United States from 2007 to 2016, and has been an inmate of the Altiplano prison until this Tuesday, is known as one of the founders of the Sinaloa cartel.

Therefore, the president revealed that on Sunday they managed to get the judge to give a period of 48 hours, which expired on Tuesday, for the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR), the Ministry of Security and the Ministry of Foreign Relations (SRE) to collect if there are more complaints or extradition processes.

“We cannot say that the man should remain in prison because the judge is ordering that he be released because his sentence has already ended or has already been acquitted. However, it deserves to be explored, let us all inform ourselves, that there is no pending ”, he commented.

The Mexican Foreign Ministry reported on Saturday that it has already formally consulted the United States Government, through its Embassy in Mexico, "on whether the Department of Justice of that country has an extradition request against the person in question. "

López Obrador argued that "the prestige of the Mexican State cannot be exposed" with these judicial rulings because the Government of Mexico "remains under suspicion."

Héctor 'El Güero' Palma, one of the founders of the Sinaloa cartel, is escorted by federals on June 15, 2016 to a maximum security prison in Mexico.

"We must take care of the image of the Mexican state, it is no longer as before we were pointed out from outside

, accusing the Mexican Government of complicity, no foreign Government should accuse the Mexican Government, and not give a reason for that," he said.

The president announced that he will ask the Secretary of the Interior, Olga Sánchez Cordero, to present a reform so that the judges cannot issue these rulings on Saturday or Sunday.

His criticism comes amid growing criticism by López Obrador of the Judiciary, as the president has accused judges of resisting his project called "la fourth transformation "of the country and be at the service of private and foreign interests.

"It is to act with absolute transparency because it is not just a matter of a legal nature, which corresponds to the Judicial Branch or the Executive Branch, it is a matter of the state," he said,
