Today, the Iraqi Council of Ministers decided to impose a comprehensive curfew for a period of 10 days in Iraq in order to limit the spread of the Covid 19 epidemic.
Alsumaria News quoted the Media Office of the Iraqi Prime Minister as saying in a statement that “The Council of Ministers, in its session held today, approved the recommendation of the Supreme Committee for Health and National Safety to impose a comprehensive curfew for a period of 10 days from May 12 to 22 of the same month. To limit the spread of the Corona pandemic and apply preventive measures through social distancing and other preventive conditions, especially after the Ministry of Health recently recorded an increase in the number of injuries throughout Iraq.
The decision to ban the comprehensive curfew, according to the statement, includes the closure of malls, restaurants, cafeterias, cafes, cinemas, parks, event halls, weddings, swimming pools, sports halls, etc., as well as prohibiting the establishment of human gatherings in all their forms.
Yesterday, the Iraqi Ministry of Health announced that the total number of deaths in Corona in Iraq has reached 15,566 since the outbreak of the pandemic, while the number of injuries has reached 1079998.
