The 102nd anniversary of the May Fourth Movement is also the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Wu Qiubei, the chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions, wrote an article in "01 Opening Lecture" to review the May Fourth Movement and the development of the country.

He said that Chinese youths have had a strong sense of family and country since ancient times. Hong Kong youths were misled during the 2019 legislative amendments and said bluntly, "Why are you so passionate?!"

Wu Qiubei pointed out, "Youth is the future of the country and the hope of the nation." He hopes that the youth of Hong Kong will learn about history and "re-continue the blood of the Chinese nation."

Wu Qiubei's article pointed out that a century ago, people were eager for new ideas and new roads to save the Chinese nation. The article pointed out that the May Fourth Movement gave birth to revolution and prepared ideas and talents for the founding of the Chinese Communist Party.

The article said that Hong Kong has returned without being colonized. It is not surprising that it has not been able to cultivate more national consciousness among young people in the past 20 years.

Wu Qiubei pointed out that some young people in Hong Kong did not understand the meaning of sovereignty and power to the people, and they had not yet learned to be the masters of Hong Kong and the country.

"This lesson on understanding the truth of history needs to be supplemented. Only when young people reconnect with the blood of the Chinese nation can they grow up healthily."

Regarding the 2019 legislative amendments, Wu Qiubei pointed out that there was no winner in the movement, and the passionate youth was misled and involved.

He gave a message to his surname: "When you have doubts, learn; when you are convinced, remember to learn. Learning to explore and think. Learning may not give you answers, or even add confusion, but learning can Letting you calm down will also make you work hard."
