Tragedy in the Mexico City subway

An elevated section of the Mexico City subway collapsed on Monday night causing the fall of some cars with passengers inside.

The accident left several dead, including minors, and dozens of injured, according to Claudia Sheinbaum, head of government of the Mexican capital.

Sheinbaum also said that the causes that caused the structure to collapse will be investigated.

UN Human Rights denounces attacks and threats in Cali

The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Colombia, Juliette de Rivero, says members of her commission have been threatened and attacked in Cali, while investigating protests against a tax reform bill.

In a statement on her verified Twitter account, the commissioner on Tuesday accused local police of shooting at members of the UN Human Rights Colombia commission, but said no one had been injured.

CNN has contacted the Mayor's Office, the Governor's Office and the Police Department to obtain a response to the accusation.

They have yet to respond publicly to Rivero's claims.
