The Food and Health Bureau issued a statement in the evening that considering that the epidemic in the United Kingdom and Ireland has stabilized, and the vaccination rate is also relatively satisfactory, if there is no major change in the local and local epidemics, it plans to withdraw from the local boarding and arriving in Hong Kong from Friday. Restrictions. People who return to Hong Kong must obtain a negative test report within 72 hours before departure, plus a confirmation letter for booking a 21-night designated quarantine hotel room before they can register to come to Hong Kong; and after arriving in Hong Kong, they must undergo "test pending" at the airport. After obtaining a negative result, he will undergo a 21-day compulsory quarantine at the designated quarantine hotel. During this period, he must undergo at least 3 tests. After the quarantine is completed, he must undergo self-monitoring for 7 days and undergo compulsory testing on the 26th day of arrival in Hong Kong.
As for Nepal, which was banned from flying on the 14th last Saturday (1st), it will continue to be banned along with India, Pakistan and the Philippines.
The authorities explained that considering that the current high-risk areas, namely India, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Brazil and South Africa, are still unstable, the current ban under Chapter 599H will continue to be maintained.
Quarantine Arrangement for Group A
The Food and Health Bureau also plans to adjust the boarding and compulsory quarantine arrangements at the same time on Friday, splitting Group A into Group A1 with "very high risk" and Group A2 with "very high risk".
The high-risk countries included in A1 include India, Nepal, Pakistan, and the Philippines that have implemented the class circuit breaker mechanism, as well as Brazil and South Africa, which have previously banned navigation; and the very high-risk group A2 includes Ireland and the country that are about to revoke the ban. The designated areas for the high-risk group B and medium-risk group C remain unchanged; the designated areas for the low-risk group D include Mengzhou, New Zealand and Singapore.
According to the authorities, it is planning to appropriately reduce the compulsory quarantine period for those arriving in Hong Kong who have not stayed in extremely high or extremely high-risk areas and have completed the vaccination based on the level of risk.
