According to the Observatory, due to the formation of a high-altitude anticyclone and the removal of the cloud belt covering the south China coast, Hong Kong was generally fine from April 1 to 3, and the weather was hot in the afternoon.

Under the influence of a fresh to strong easterly airstream, Hong Kong was generally cloudy on April 4 and 5, with slightly cooler weather with a few rain patches.

The cloud cover increased in Hong Kong until April 8. With the strengthening of easterly air currents and the influence of high-altitude disturbances, the port of Japan was cloudy with cooler weather and a few showers on April 9. Most areas recorded rainfall of more than 5 mm.

Under rainy conditions, the temperature recorded at the Hong Kong Observatory in the morning dropped to 19.7 degrees, the lowest in the month.
