Today, Iraqi Health Minister Hassan Al-Tamimi submitted his resignation to the Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi.

Alsumaria News quoted an informed political source as saying that "Health Minister Hassan Al-Tamimi submitted his resignation to Al-Kazemi during a cabinet session during which the Council voted on the recommendations of the investigative committee regarding the fire at Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital."

According to the source, "the prime minister agreed to accept the resignation of the Minister of Health."

A fire broke out a few days ago in Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, killing 97 people and wounding 120 others.
