Dachau - Prime Minister Markus Söder announced at yesterday's press conference that the incidence would be easing from a 7-day incidence below 100. Outdoor restaurants, theaters and cinemas could open as early as next week. The Dachauer Nachrichten asked restaurateurs and cultural organizers whether they were ready. Some are already in the starting blocks, but not all restaurateurs are enthusiastic about these announcements.

"If the weather and the numbers are right, then we open up!" Manfred Valentin from the Mariabrunn restaurant is "armed", as he proudly reports. Beer and staff are waiting for the guests in the idyllic traditional beer garden in the municipality of Röhrmoos. Valentin doesn't mind that he might have to lock up again in between. As a beer garden operator, he is used to this from the weather alone. He is even planning to set up his own test station, he wants to clarify exactly how it should look this week.

Claudia Augustin is cautiously enthusiastic about the "wren" in the old town. “I am now waiting for the official information from the Bavarian Hotel and Restaurant Association. I also have to wait and see what the weather will be like. ”She now runs her café as a“ one-man business ”. Your business partner stays at home until “everything is back to normal”, says the restaurateur, as his children are in homeschooling. She no longer has any staff; some employees have moved to other professions, such as nursing.

Augustin also sees difficulties with the planning. How many goods should she buy when there is a risk that she will have to shut everything down again because the incidences rise again? Claudia Augustin could also imagine a reduced menu with cakes and desserts, which she already works with on weekends, for the loosening openings. Guests would then have to come with a quick test. But whether and how it will unlock is still unclear.

Roman Schmuttermaier's team from “Rind & Rebe” in Dachau will probably also “not open up”. “It all sounds great at your desk, but it's difficult to implement in practice,” explains the Dachau restaurateur. Since he cooks everything fresh and only uses high-quality products that he would have to throw away again if the store was closed, hasty opening without guarantees makes “absolutely no sense”.

"Today that was an important and good sign for art and culture in Bavaria," says Tobias Schneider, head of the cultural office, happily. It is still too early for specific details and projects, there are too many question marks, says Schneider, who now wants to wait for the general conditions and of course the incidence figures in the coming weeks. Schneider has one thing already firmly planned: “We want to start with a model concept in the Ludwig-Thoma-Haus as soon as possible,” the head of the Office for Culture, Tourism and Contemporary History in Dachau promises. Events for Dachau residents should soon be possible again with the Luca app, test and hygiene systems.

The Bergkirchen Hoftheater is in the middle of rehearsals for the new play.

"We are planning the first premiere on June 10th," hopes theater director Herbert Müller.

In consultation with the District Office, the court theater is developing a hygiene concept so that the audience can really “feel safe” during the bizarre office comedy “Maier, Wagner, Schmitt”, emphasizes Müller.
