A young man has killed five people, three children and two teachers, according to the first information cited by the local press, this Tuesday in a stabbing attack in a nursery school in southern Brazil.
The attack occurred in the city of Saudades, in the southern state of Santa Catarina, shortly after noon.
The 18-year-old attacker has been taken to a hospital.
Attacks of this type are very rare in Brazil.
That is why two years ago the shooting massacre caused by two former students, which killed eight people in Suzano, near São Paulo, caused a great commotion.
The Military Police have reported in a note, cited by the
O'Globo
newspaper
, that the aggressor broke into the school, began to stab those present, children and teachers.
Hearing the victims call for help, several citizens came to their aid and caught the young man, who wounded himself with the knife.
With stab wounds, the perpetrator was transferred to a hospital in a nearby city.
The police say in the statement that, according to witnesses, the attacker said he was bullied and that he was not a student at the school where he carried out the massacre.
