Commercial events in Homs: holding the elections on time is a challenge to the blockade

The commercial activities in Homs see that the participation of every Syrian in the upcoming presidential elections on the twenty-sixth of May is an affirmation of national sovereignty, noting that holding it on schedule in accordance with the constitution is a challenge to the unjust economic blockade imposed on Syria.

The head of the Homs Chamber of Commerce, Iyad Darraq al-Sebaei, stated in a statement to SANA's correspondent that “exercising our democratic right and participating in the presidential elections is standing in the face of aggression, terrorism and unjust economic blockade,” considering that holding the elections on time is a step in the way of rebuilding the country.

Participation in voting in the elections reflects the will of the Syrians to protect the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army and preserve the blood of the martyrs. This is confirmed by the merchant Nizar Kafa, pointing out that holding the elections on time is an important step to continue achieving achievements at various levels.

Trader Tariq Jadid, who returned to his shop in the Dablan commercial district since the first days after liberating the city from terrorism, believes that participating in the elections is a national duty and strengthening victory over terrorism and its supporters, while the merchant Bashar Al-Taban affirms that all Syrians must participate actively and broadly to complete the elections in support of the democratic option.

The participation of all as citizens and economic actors in the elections is a national duty that reflects positively at all levels. This is what all the merchants Samer Al-Safwa and Ghazwan Abdel-Mawla confirmed, considering that holding them on time is a message to the world that the Syrians are the only ones who decide the future of their country without outside interference.

Both dealers Abd al-Salam Mando and Raed Sheikh Warak indicated that participating in the presidential elections is an exercise of democracy in its best form, affirming that Syria will remain strong and steadfast and will reach safety despite all challenges.
