The World Health Organization announced today that more than 93,000 people have died from the Corona virus during the past week, an increase of 6 percent from the previous week.

The organization stated in the weekly epidemiological bulletin that the number of infected people during the past week increased by more than 5.7 million, which is almost the same as the previous week's outcome, explaining that the outbreak of the Corona epidemic around the world is still at its highest level for the second consecutive week since the beginning of the virus outbreak.

The organization indicated that Southeast Asia, which includes India, recorded a remarkable increase by 19 percent, while the infection rate decreased in Europe by 22 percent, in Africa by 15 percent, in the eastern Mediterranean by 14 percent, and in North and South America by 5 percent.

The death rate rose significantly in Southeast Asia by 48 percent, but in Africa by 13 percent, Europe by 12 percent and the Western Pacific by 3 percent.

For its part, Johns Hopkins University of America reported that the total number of Coronavirus infections in the world has risen to more than 153.9 million, and the total deaths have reached more than 3.2 million.

The United States topped the list of countries in terms of the number of deaths due to the virus with 578,407 deaths, while the total number of infections reached 325,10922 injuries, followed by Brazil in second place in terms of the number of deaths with 41,588 deaths and a total of 1,485,6888.

And in third place India comes with a total of 222408 deaths and 20282833 injuries, while Mexico ranks fourth in terms of the number of deaths with 217740 and a total of 2352964 injuries.

The list of the ten countries with the highest number of deaths and injuries includes several European countries, namely Britain, Italy, Russia, France, Germany and Spain.
