Gautinger Sommerbad: It should start again on May 22nd

Gauting - The wait may soon be over. At least the community of Gauting is planning - as of now - to reopen its summer pool from Saturday, May 22nd. "If the Infection Protection Act allows it by then," emphasizes community spokesman Andreas Röming. Until then, Christian Ruhdorfer, the technical manager of the Gautingen outdoor pool, and his employees are working hard to get the summer pool up to scratch for the reopening. Röming says: "We are doing everything for a successful start."

A lot has happened in the summer pool in the past few months.

During the closure, the many defective tiles were replaced or repaired.

Employees of the building yard took care of the filling of the cracked areas.

In addition, the overflow channels in the basins, the corners of which were partially damaged, were put back in order.

In addition to the repair work, there were also one or two new acquisitions.

The municipality bought a squeegee for 2500 euros as well as some elements to adapt the lightning system.

The latter alone was associated with costs of around 14,000 euros.

Cashiers and security company ready to go

Now the summer pool is apparently ready to be conquered by the guests again. The pools are already filled with water, only the hedges would like to be cut again in the next 14 days by the building yard and the lying areas to be mowed. "We feel well prepared," said community spokesman Röming. All cashiers are already ready to go and a security company that is supposed to ensure compliance with the hygiene concept is already engaged. Here, the Gautingers fall back on the tried and tested. "We have largely adopted the hygiene concept from the previous year," says Röming. This worked smoothly at the time and was accepted by almost all guests without any problems. "We are convinced that it will work out very well this time too."

The concept stipulates that all guests are only allowed to wear a mask and children up to the age of twelve are only allowed to enter the bathing area when accompanied by an adult.

People who have come into contact with Covid 19 patients within the past 14 days are also completely excluded from access, as are people with symptoms typical of corona.

No loungers are given out on the lawn.

The bathers should spread themselves out on the meadow in such a way that a minimum distance of two meters is maintained.

The changing rooms are generally closed.

If these and other rules are observed, as well as the correspondingly low number of cases in the district, nothing stands in the way of opening the Gautinger summer pool on May 22nd.

Röming emphasizes: "This is a moment that we have all been waiting for over the past few months."

Annual passes available

If you want to apply for an annual ticket for the summer pool in Gauting, you can only do so in the town hall during the usual opening times.

Pre-registration by phone at z (089) 893 37 114 is mandatory.

Adults pay 100 euros, children and young people between the ages of six and 18 as well as schoolchildren, trainees and students pay 45 euros.

The summer holiday card for students up to 18 years of age costs 20 euros, the family cards 135 or 100 euros (one parent).
