Dachau - As the district office informed in a press release, a total of 40 191 people had been vaccinated in the two vaccination centers in the Dachau district up to last Monday, plus 12 507 vaccinations by resident doctors and the clinic.

The first vaccination rate is currently 34 percent;

The vaccination quota is 28.8 percent across Bavaria and 28.3 percent across Germany.

"This very positive value is due not least to the recent special vaccination campaigns of the vaccination centers and the volunteer helpers from the BRK and JUH - supported by members of the fire brigades and the THW - last weekend," said the district office. District Administrator Stefan Löwl thanks all the full-time and volunteer workers involved in the relief and rescue organizations as well as in the communities for their support and cooperation.

Despite numerous second vaccinations in the coming weeks, the vaccination campaign in the district will continue vigorously.

A total of over 2000 first vaccinations are planned, according to the district office.

In addition to the two vaccination centers in the district, numerous medical practices also offer vaccination appointments.

The information on this - often including digital appointments - can be found on the websites of the respective medical practices.

Occupancy in the clinic is increasing slightly

In the wake of the high incidence values in recent weeks, the occupancy in the Helios-Amper-Klinikum Dachau is increasing slightly;

the situation remains stable, however, the press release says.

There are currently 22 corona patients between the ages of 36 and 86 in the normal ward, the average age is 60.3 years.

There are currently six corona patients between the ages of 55 and 84 in the intensive care unit (average age 71.2 years).

So far, 135 people from the Dachau district have died in connection with Corona.

The age structure of the index cases can be broken down as follows: 20 percent: 0-18 years;

36 percent 19-39 years;

34 percent 40 - 59 years;

9 percent 60 - 79 years;

1 percent 80 years and older.

The exposure locations can be divided as follows: 47 percent of the cases: exposure location unknown;

53 percent of the people who tested positive: Transmission in the household: largest share;

Transfer in the workplace: increasing;

Transmission through private contacts: lower proportion.

The highly contagious mutants in particular usually affect all household members.

In families, there is a higher number of new infections than in people living alone or in pairs.

In the cases of the so-called British mutant, the previous FFP2 protection is apparently no longer sufficient, according to the district office.

For this reason, the RKI has already adjusted the quarantine regulations.
