"
I hope so and I believe in it,
" said Joe Biden, when asked about a possible one-on-one. "
We are working on it,
" he adds, without further details. The American president is due to make his first trip abroad in mid-June, to the United Kingdom and then to Belgium, for the G7 and NATO summits and a meeting with the leaders of the European Union. In mid-April, he proposed a meeting with Vladimir Putin, against the backdrop of strong tensions between the two rival powers. concrete dates
" were under consideration. Relations between Moscow and Washington are at their lowest and there are multiple points of friction: disagreements over Ukraine, accusations of espionage, electoral interference and cyberattacks, tensions over the fate of the imprisoned Russian opponent Alexei Navalny.
