Mayor of Bogotá asks for support from the security forces for strong protests

The mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, reported through Twitter that she has asked the Ministry of Defense for the support of the public force.

This Tuesday, the mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, reported through her verified Twitter account that she has asked the Ministry of Defense for the support of the public force.

Lopez indicated that there are 16 CAI police centers vandalized, police shot and other wounded with knives, also reported that they tried to burn alive 15 police officers in the CAI of the Aurora sector.

The mayor clarified that only the coexistence managers, dialogue mediators, human rights commissions and the metropolitan police are the entities that are in charge of security in Bogotá and emphasized that she has not called for the militarization of the city.
