Classes may continue to be face-to-face in Buenos Aires, as decided by the Supreme Court of Justice of Argentina when giving rise to the request of the capital and also determining that the decree of the national government that required the closure of schools by the pandemic "violated the autonomy of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires."
Four of the five judges of the highest court voted in favor of the claim, while the remaining judge did not issue her opinion, considering that the issue should not be dealt with in that judicial instance.
The resolution of this Tuesday determined that both the capital city and the rest of the Argentine provinces can regulate the presence in schools and that the government of President Alberto Fernández can only do so in accordance with the districts, but not decide their suspension autonomously .
