The case of unknown origin is a 46-year-old Filipino domestic helper living in Block N2 of Kornhill, Quarry Bay. She is asymptomatic; her 38-year-old Filipino domestic helper, who is also a foreign domestic helper and lives in Pokfulam, was also diagnosed as a related case; The other is the employer of the Filipino maids infected with the epidemic in Caribbean Coast, that is, the teacher of Tung Chung Ling Liang Church Sau Tak Primary School.

The Center for Health Protection pointed out that the two Philippine domestic helpers were found through mandatory testing by foreign domestic helpers, and they were both involved in the highly infectious N501Y variant virus strain. Therefore, all residents in the building where they lived must be evacuated for 21 days of quarantine.

Together with these three patients, there are a total of 10 cases of community variant virus.

The Centre for Health Protection announced that all three imported cases were imported from Nepal, involving a 45-year-old woman (#11794) and a 37-year-old woman (#11795). The two were also quarantined at the Silka Seaview Hotel in Yau Ma Tei; the other imported The case involved a 29-year-old woman (#11796) who was quarantined at the Metropark Hotel Kowloon in Homantin.

All three imported cases took Nepal Airlines flight RA409 and arrived in Hong Kong on April 27. No one was infected with the variant virus.

As for the local case, the unknown source is a 46-year-old woman (#11793) who is a Filipino domestic helper.

According to the Centre for Health Protection yesterday (4th), she had rested in a small park near Victory Park in Tin Hau on May 1; on May 2 she went to the Salia Italian restaurant in West Kowloon Center with friends; On May 3, he complied with the compulsory test announcement and went to the community test center to be tested, and the diagnosis was later confirmed.

And his friend (#11797) is listed as having epidemiological connection with the local case.

The Health Protection Center stated that #11793 has a low virus load, with a CT value greater than 30, and contains N501Y and E484K variant virus strains, which are expected to be South African variants.

The Center for Health Protection pointed out that #11792 was infected with the South African variant virus, with a low viral load and a CT value greater than 30.

Further analysis by the Public Health Laboratory Service Office of the Department of Health showed that #11793 and #11797 are both related to the highly infectious N501Y variant virus strain, so they will live in buildings, including Block N2, Kornhill, Quarry Bay and Mount Pokfulam, on all floors. Households with no symptoms in the unit were sent to the quarantine center, involving about 230 and 30 units respectively.

If residents develop symptoms, they are sent to hospital for treatment.

These people will undergo a 21-day compulsory quarantine.
