Citizen service centers in Homs provided 240,326 services to auditors during the first quarter of this year.
Engineer Rasmi Al-Sebaei, Director of Informatics at Homs City Council, stated in a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the services provided by the centers included 88075 civil documents service, 15,478 services without judgment, 16,391 non-employee services, and 60,000 banking services for real estate and commercial, which included payment of installments, withdrawal, deposit, and payment of consular fees and university fees. For students, 93,000 services, payment of water, electricity and phone bills, 11,000 mukhtar services, and more than 9,000 services, financial receivables, leases, property and financial denials, and the installation of electric meters
He said: There are five citizen service centers distributed within the city of Homs in “Armenian, Akrama, Adawiya, and Hamra” and a citizen service center in the city “Hall of the public.” There are also two citizen service centers in Homs Refinery and at Al-Baath University that are networked to the council, pointing to the activation of the citizen service center in Al-Waer neighborhood. It was recently created to provide services to about 70,000 people and to simplify and ease procedures for citizens due to the long distance separating the neighborhood from the city center.
Regarding the new services, Al-Sebaei explained that preparations are underway to launch the compulsory insurance service for vehicles inside the citizen service centers, the “public hall”, in preparation for launching it in the rest of the centers, which allows citizens to obtain a vehicle clearance instead of the Traffic Police branch, pointing to the introduction of the financial system service in cooperation with the Property Directorate To be collected from the investors at the council, in addition to developing temporary registry data to help people obtain information through the council’s website.
