A man was indicted for murder after admitting, during the hearing, to have killed a nonagenarian, found stabbed in his residence for seniors in Carquefou, near Nantes, the prosecution said on Wednesday (May 5th).
His pre-trial detention was requested by the prosecution.

The victim, born in 1929, was found dead Sunday, May 2 in the room of his retirement home in Carquefou, in the suburbs of Nantes, according to Pierre Sennès, the public prosecutor of Nantes. Lying on her bed, she had received several stab wounds. Two men had been placed in police custody on Monday, according to the prosecution. According to the

, these are the grandchildren of the victim. The author of the confession, aged 36, cannot explain his gesture, according to the regional daily.
