According to our information, the facts occurred at the end of the afternoon on Wednesday, in the area of rue des Teinturiers in Avignon.
At around 6.30 p.m., a crew from a departmental intervention group, deployed on site due to a gunshot wound, was targeted by a firearm by an individual.
One of the police officers targeted received two bullets, in the chest and abdomen.
The facts took place during an anti-drug operation.
The individual is still on the run, we learned.
The SAMU was deployed and attempted to resuscitate the agent, to no avail.
The judicial police were seized.
