The government issued a statement early this morning (6th) that it has completed the mandatory testing operation in the designated "restricted area" in Tsuen Wan (i.e., Block R, Allway Gardens, 2 On Yat Street, Tsuen Wan), and no confirmed cases have been found.

The statement stated that as of midnight yesterday (5th), about 460 residents received combined nasal and throat swab sample collection and COVID-19 testing. The operation was completed at about 0:05 a.m. today (6th). The test results of the subjects were all negative.

In this operation, the Home Affairs Department (including the Tsuen Wan District Office), the Police Force and the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department mobilized a total of about 240 officers.

In addition, the government also issued a mandatory test announcement on May 4th. Anyone who has been in Block R of Allway Gardens for more than two hours from April 21 to May 4, 2021, even if they were not present when the relevant announcement came into effect. Within the "restricted area", mandatory testing is also required on or before May 6.

The government reminds relevant people that they must comply with the mandatory testing announcement and accept nucleic acid testing for COVID-19.

The government will strictly follow up the compliance of the inspected persons with mandatory testing announcements and restrictions and testing announcements.
