New York - Sana

American health experts have confirmed that the emergence of several new strains of the Corona virus (Indian, British and South African) will affect the achievement of herd immunity, in addition to the questioning factor of Corona vaccines, as many refrain from taking vaccination and do not trust it because they consider the epidemic to be a hoax.

The American New York Times quoted scientists and experts as saying that what can be done now is to make sure to vaccinate the most vulnerable to infection and disease because this is what ensures the return to normal life as possible.

The newspaper pointed out that scientists and health experts do not expect to reach herd immunity, especially in the long term, and it may not be reached at all.

According to the newspaper, experts believe that the virus will become a threat that can be dealt with in the coming years in the United States, and accordingly, they do not prefer to make promises about the way out and the promise that has long been preached.

What makes scientists worried is that the virus changes very quickly, and that new mutations spread easily while vaccination is done slowly, and in the face of this situation, herd immunity does not seem imminent.

The researcher in evolutionary biology at Emory University in Georgia, Rustam Antiia, says that the virus will not disappear, "but we want to do everything we can so that Corona becomes a medium infection."
