Summary.

On December 2, 2020, the United Kingdom authorizes the marketing of the vaccine developed by the American laboratory Pfizer against Covid-19.

It is then the very first antidote available in the world, it prevents the disease thanks to the innovative technique of the RNA messenger.

In the weeks that followed, many countries followed in the footsteps of the British.

Very high efficiency rate, absence of notable side effects, large production capacity… Pfizer has a head start over several competitors.

Today, about 70% of people vaccinated against the virus have been injected with its product.

How did this pharmaceutical giant, allied with the German firm BioNTech, little known to the general public before the pandemic, became the world leader in anti-Covid vaccination?

Code Source recounts this ascent with Erwan Benezet, journalist at the Parisian economy service.
