The 48-year-old mother of two sons, Xu Caizhu (Janice), had a sudden genetic mutation six years ago, causing hematological and lymphoma cancers, becoming the first patient diagnosed with dual cancer in Hong Kong.

She has been actively fighting cancer for the past 6 years. She has received chemotherapy, autologous blood stem cell transplantation, and allogeneic stem cell transplantation. It was only two years ago that she had a long cough that did not heal. After seeking medical treatment, she found that her lungs rejected allogeneic stem cells and her lung function. It continued to decline and eventually became fibrosis. So far, only one part of the function remains, and it is necessary to wear a ventilator for many years.

The doctor thinks that there is no cure for the medicine, and can only wait for the O-type double-leaf cadaveric lung transplantation to continue, hoping that a kindhearted person can save the life of this good mother.

6 years ago, Janice suddenly caused blood cancer and lymphoma due to genetic mutation, which became the first case in Hong Kong.

6 years ago, a gene mutation suffered from blood cancer and lymphoma

The mother of two sons Janice started working in the bank at the age of 18 and has been working for 30 years. Her brother described her as diligent and serious, and will do her best to do every task assigned by the company. She often works until the early morning and leaves work, so she is young. Lightweight has been promoted to the head of the big business.

But behind the hard work, she was overworked and became sick. She suddenly caused blood cancer and lymphoma six years ago due to genetic mutation, which became the first case in Hong Kong.

Janice has been actively fighting cancer at first, receiving chemotherapy first, and then autologous blood stem cell transplantation. However, the two treatments were unsuccessful. The cancer cell recurred after half a year. After receiving chemotherapy again, fortunately, one of the six siblings had a brother’s Stem cell anastomosis, stem cells can be donated for allogeneic transplantation, bringing her a glimmer of hope.

Two months ago, Janice could not help but had thoughts of suicide. He took 100 sleeping pills late at night and is now in the Intensive Care Department of Grantham Hospital.

Need to wear a ventilator for a long time, often bleeding from the nostrils

However, the dawn came very shortly. Janice suddenly started coughing two years ago. The reason could not be found after 4 X-rays. Finally, she was diagnosed with pneumonia through a computer scan. The cause was the rejection of the lung due to the allotransplantation. The function is getting worse with each passing day, with "pulmonary blooms" and pulmonary fibrosis appearing. Taking anti-rejection drugs, targeted drugs and anti-fibrosis drugs successively has not been able to reverse the disadvantages. At the beginning of the year, his lung function has only one percent remaining. Wearing a ventilator for a long time can maintain breathing. There is often bleeding from the nostrils, and the lungs burst from time to time. His brother Tommy described "The lungs have become very fragile, and the left and right lungs burst."

His physical condition is getting worse and he is now unable to swallow solid food, and his weight has plummeted.

Feeling that his family was burdened by taking sleeping pills for two months to commit suicide

Having been on the road to fight cancer for 6 years, the suffering has not abated. Her husband had quit her transportation job to take care of her around the clock at the beginning of her diagnosis, which made Janice feel even more burdened by her family and felt guilty. She could not help but committing suicide two months ago. Thought, took 100 sleeping pills in the middle of the night. Fortunately, her family members and discoveries pulled her out of the ghost gate. She is now in the Intensive Care Department of Grantham Hospital.

Tommy mentioned that his sister has two sons. The eldest son is studying at a college. The youngest son is a candidate for the Diploma Examination (DSE). He suffers from emotional illness and has been receiving counseling for many years. He has a deep relationship with his sick mother. Janice is also worried about his son. In the situation, "I'm not willing to let go, don't let me down," and I feel guilty that I have failed to fulfill my mother's responsibilities in the past six years.

Tommy hopes that someone with a kind heart can save his sister's life and donate two-lobed corpse lungs with blood type O, so that the sister can continue to contribute to society and do her mother's and wife's duties.
