Holiday vouchers are valid for two years after their issue.
A check issued in 2019 can thus be used until the end of 2022. But as the UFC-Que Choisir notes, it is possible to replace newly expired checks.
The association specifies that connect holiday vouchers and sports coupons are also concerned.
An unrecognized possibility
Article L411-12 of the Tourism Code indeed provides that tickets not used during their period of validity
"may be exchanged within three months following the end of the period of use against holiday vouchers from a same amount ”
The new checks will be for the same amount.

For example, a check issued in 2019 could be exchanged for a brand new check, also valid for two years, until March 31, 2022. A welcome possibility given that many checks could not be used during the health crisis in cause of leave postponements.
The request can be made from December 15 of the year of expiration of the ticket on one of the platforms of the National Agency for Vacation Checks (ANCV), responsible for issuing the tickets.
The operation costs ten euros for paper checks
You will need to identify yourself via the France Connect platform, the government site which provides a unique and secure connection to the various public services.
Once the operation is successful, expired vacation vouchers in paper format must be sent by post to the administration.
New checks will be returned within one month, specifies the UFC-Que Choisir.
Please note, the operation has a cost for paper checks, since ten euros will be charged.
It is not possible elsewhere than for checks for an amount greater than 30 euros.
On the other hand, if the checks are dematerialized, there is no charge.
