In two days, two skippers having experienced a last complicated Vendée Globe, have announced very different destinies.
This Tuesday, Jérémie Beyou, 13th last February, confirmed the construction of a new Imoca monohull designed by Sam Manuard and wearing until 2026 the colors of his now loyal sponsor Charal.
Change of tone this Wednesday with the announcement of the upcoming end of the partnership between the companies Arkéa and Paprec and their sailor Sébastien Simon.

Forced to give up off Brazil during the round-the-world trip, the Vendéen nevertheless relaunches his boat on Wednesday.
And to try to bounce back during the next big race, the Jacques Vabre double-handed transatlantic race scheduled for next November, he has chosen Yann Eliès as co-skipper.
But this race will be the last for Sébastien Simon under the colors of Arkéa and Paprec who have announced "to strengthen their commitment to sailing with the launch of an offshore racing structure from 2022 which will have the vocation of carrying a new competitive project and responsible for the Vendée Globe 2024 ”.
All this with possibly a new boat but above all a skipper who will therefore not be Sébastien Simon for lack of "a shared vision on this central development"….
