As my friend Jacques Julliard wrote, one day it will be necessary to wonder about
"the strange drift of the French Greens who seem for some time not to be able to open their mouths without uttering nonsense or insanity"
Michel Houellebecq: "A civilization which legalizes euthanasia loses all rights to respect"
It is true that Julliard, like the author of these lines, is only one of those dreadful “boomers” (understand: the over 55s) that the EELV campaign in Île-de-France had decided to. target before being forced to retract.
Like racism and sexism, "ageism", a phenomenon which, with the pandemic, seems to be in full expansion, consists in attacking an entire age group, an entire category of humanity whose members, yet just as different from each other as the younger ones, are considered as a whole as enemies, as guilty a priori, not for what they have done, but for what they are, namely people (older).
