Maxim's Group recently restarted the Trainee Programme (internship program), hoping to attract more new blood to join.

Lin Jiayi, Senior Human Resources Director of Maxim's Group, said that the group is currently short of people in every department, so it has always recruited people. Young people who are interested in getting to know the catering industry are welcome to join the group. "The future world will be dominated by young people. The guests are all young people, and I hope to provide better products and services to the public together with young people!"

The traditional catering industry has long working hours and low salaries, making it difficult to attract young people into the industry. However, Lin Jiayi revealed that the salaries of interns are even "higher than Big 4" and they can also enjoy other employee benefits, including a 30% discount for meals at the employee restaurant. There is a 15% discount on consumption in the group’s restaurants; you can try new products in the staff restaurant; get free mooncakes and buy holiday products at a discounted employee price close to half; give priority to subscribing to Liuxin Custard Mooncakes (with certain limits), etc.

If you can successfully "graduate" in the internship program, the rank will jump directly to the senior officer (Senior officer) level, and the interns who have performed well will be directly promoted to the Assistant Manager (Assistant Manager) rank.

Can apply for transfer to work abroad

In addition to generous treatment, interns will also be led by senior staff and learn by doing.

Lin Jiayi said that in order for interns to understand daily work matters and have the opportunity to participate in large-scale projects, they transfer to work departments about half a year. If they are interested, they can also apply for transfer to the Mainland or Southeast Asia branch.

At the end of the plan, they need to report in front of the management and talk about the results of their work in the past year.

Lin Jiayi revealed that based on the previous year's experience, there are about 900 to 1,000 applications planned, but this year's unemployment situation is severe, so it is difficult to estimate the application status.

The internship program will start accepting applications from May 1st and ends on June 6th. Applicants need to go through 4 major stages: virtual games, psychological evaluation and personal evaluation, virtual interview and ultimate interview. In the end, the group will select about 20-40 internships. Students will be assigned to the personnel department, information technology department, food research and development department, supply chain management department, operation department, etc. They will take up new positions in August. The internship program lasts for one year.

At the beginning of last year, Maxim's distributed money to all employees in Hong Kong. Full-time employees paid 2,000 yuan and part-time employees paid 1,000 yuan.

Asked if similar measures will be introduced this year, Lin Jiayi said that the group has always been concerned about the needs of its employees, but the economic environment is now more difficult, but if the group is able to do so, it will try its best to give back to its employees.
