At some point, when the pandemic gives a truce or the four years in office are completed, a deep analysis of the image of
Alberto Fernández will have to be made
. The ups and downs in the gaze of public opinion on the President only seem to be understood in an unprecedented world context, clearly filtered by the local crack. In that rise and fall of his figure, a new barrier has just been broken: the president is
no longer the most valued official leader. A minister and a minister
from his own Cabinet
passed it
.
The studies that reveal these data are from the consulting
firms
Management & Fit
and
D'Alessio IROL - Berensztein
.
These are firms with a long history in the world of politics that publish their social humor monitoring on a monthly basis.
Down with a minister ...
The
Management & Fit
survey included a survey of
2,200 cases
between April 23 and 30.
Clarín announced this Monday part of this survey, which already brought alerts to the President: record economic pessimism and distrust in the vaccination plan.
In the category of images, the firm
orders the ranking according to the differential
: that is, the result that remains after subtracting the positive and negative evaluations of each leader.
As this newspaper has been telling, in general, most politicians end up with a differential against, because they
generate more rejections than adhesions

This was repeated in the last study by the consulting firm, in which the only one who obtained a balance in favor was the head of Government
Horacio Rodríguez Larreta
: + 5.6 points, thanks to a positive image of 39.4% and a negative image of 33.8%.
Within the Frente de Todos, meanwhile,
the best was
Carla Vizzotti
, with
- 2.2 points
of differential.
The Minister of Health of the Nation combined 30.1% positive and 32.3% negative.
He was third in the general table.
In addition to Larreta, she was surpassed by former governor
María Eugenia Vidal (- 1.1 points).
The
President
, for his part, is fourth among the 10 leaders measured,
one notch below Vizzotti
.
Their numbers?
37.6% positive and 42% negative, balance of
- 4.4 points
.
As a consolation, the other three officials evaluated were much worse:
Axel Kicillof
had a differential of - 21.6 points,
Cristina Kichner
of - 22.9 and
Máximo Kirchner
of - 31.7.
The last two were at the bottom of the table.
The governor narrowly dodged: he was won (badly) by former president
Mauricio Macri
.
And down from a minister ...
D'Alessio IROL - Berensztein have been
publishing a table with about 30 leaders, since the beginning of 2019. In their case, they are ordered by their positive assessment.
In April, he did a study with 1,216 interviews.
There you can see the
evolution of the image of Alberto Fernández
for two years.
They included him in the list when Cristina announced that she would be the candidate for president of her space.
Fernández is now 11th
, with
40
positive
points
.
He is surpassed by nine leaders of Together for Change (Larreta, Vidal, Fernán Quirós and even Elisa Carrió, among others) and only one of the Frente de Todos: the Minister of Economy,
Martín Guzmán
(43).
The President is only two points above what he measured in May 2019 and
very far from the 61
he achieved in March of last year, when the coronavirus arrived in Argentina.
During that month and the following two (with 60 and 59) he led the table.

But since then it has been falling and the question today is if it reached its floor.
For now,
it is stable
: in addition to April, in January and March 2021 it added 40 points and in February, 41.
Below the President
, with 38% and 35%, within the ruling party come Kicillof and Cristina.
Behind but not so far.
