The Freisinger Stadtwerke are building an energy center on Angerstrasse, which will soon supply a 450-residential district with regenerative energy.

Freising

- With a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony, the Freisinger Stadtwerke started the construction of an energy center on Angerstrasse, which will later ensure the regenerative energy supply of the new residential area.

The Freising planning area, which stretches between Schleiferbach and Angerstraße and was previously used commercially, is to become a quarter with around 450 residential units as part of a restructuring process.

It should later be supplied as climate-neutral as possible, for which the course has already been set.

The Freisinger Stadtwerke Vertriebs-GmbH is building its own local heating network here, which works independently - an island heating network.

Café should make the location attractive

"An energy center with a combined heat and power unit, condensing double boiler system and transformer station will be implemented to supply this network with heat," explains Tobias Grießl, who is responsible for energy advice and generation at the Freisinger Stadtwerke and is in charge of this project.

"In order to make the location attractive, a café will be integrated into the building."

A buffer storage tank with a capacity of 85,000 liters will also be installed to store the amount of heat.

In this way, the required electricity can be produced here in the future if required - that is, if there is a high demand for electricity and a currently low supply from renewable energies.

At the same time, hot water is efficiently produced and stored in the buffer tank.

Three construction phases are planned for the quarter in the eastern part of the plant, which will be implemented one after the other and supplied by the energy center after completion.

A day-care center for children as well as green and open spaces are also planned.

Around 30,000 square meters of living space will be created.

In total, a total heating output of 1567 kilowatts is required for the three construction phases.

The respective building sections will be supplied with heat from the energy center via insulated plastic jacket pipes.

Wild garlic has poisonous doppelgangers.

For a man from the Freising district, this was now fatal: he died of poisoning.
