The US trade representative, Katherine Tai, reported that the country supports relaxing the patent rules for covid-19 vaccines.
Tai said that Joe Biden's government strongly believes in intellectual property, and that this stance seeks to end the pandemic worldwide.
The measure would mean that these vaccines can be produced in several countries to speed up the inoculation process.
