A serious bicycle accident in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on Wednesday, May 5th, called for an unusual rescue helicopter: It landed at Marienplatz.
Garmisch-Patenkirchen - Nothing worked in the late afternoon: The fire brigade had completely cordoned off Marienplatz in the district.
A rescue helicopter had to land there to pick up an 80-year-old woman from Garmisch-Partenkirchen and fly to the Murnau Accident Clinic.
The woman had fallen from the bike - and her arm was run over by a truck.
The result: serious injuries.
