Can you give us some key figures that illustrate this underlying trend?
When did this changeover that you qualify as historical date?
Victor DELAGE.-
Powerful movements of right-wing rights are at work throughout Europe.
Right-wing majorities are at the head of twenty-one out of twenty-seven governments, not counting the United Kingdom.
It is also the classic and conservative right which has had the most seats in the European Parliament since 1999.
The data from our study show that the proportion of French people on the right of the political spectrum increased under the mandate of Emmanuel Macron, from 33% in 2017 to 38% in 2021, while the proportion of citizens on the left remained stable (25% in 2017 and 24% in 2021).
