One can confidently assume that the district councils will give the green light for the one million euro investment in July.
The municipality of Altenstadt has to pay for the sidewalk and the laying of the supply lines under the new street section.
The costs for this have not yet been determined.
The first draft plan dates from 1972
Mayor Andreas Kögl is very relieved that the first draft plan from 1972 will now, in all likelihood, finally be implemented.

In the future, a direct connection between Oberdorfstrasse and Burgstrasse will be established via these areas.

In 1988 the government of Upper Bavaria initiated a planning approval procedure for the new section of the route.
After "strong resistance from the residents" this was then stopped again in 1997, reported the building department of the district office on Monday.

The planned road has been part of the demand and investment program of the Weilheim-Schongau district for twelve years.

The town hall chief cannot yet give an exact schedule for the implementation of the work.

"Racetrack" should be avoided
Kögl would like to sensitize the planners to one topic now.
“I don't want to have a racetrack, that has to be solved in terms of planning,” he emphasizes with a view to the future route, which then runs almost dead straight through Schwabniederhofen.
